Photopop was a pre-Snapchat decorate your “selfie” app dreamed up by the Skunkworks Division of Sambreel Services in Carlsbad California.

I was hired to illustrate all of the items for a forward-thinking Facebook app that the company’s CTO needed help with. In the end, I ended up taking the reigns and found myself naming the app “Photopop”, creating the logo, the user interface and experience design, designing several Facebook ads, and working closely with the developer to bring the product to launch. We quickly gained traction and ended up somewhere around 6000 users.

As Facebook threatened to phase out “Facebook Games” we pivoted to a mobile app. Our app was complete with a user interface and explainer screens that were fitting for the early days of IOS apps.
